Your Award, the Airline Officers (Qantas Airways Limited) Award 1992, Clause 18.3.5(d), is the clause, which describes what are the requirements if Qantas changes your shifts within two days of the start times of the published roster. The Award says: if any shift worker is required to change his or her roster, the employee must be given at least two days notice of change. If this notice is not given the shift worker will be paid for the shifts worked during the two day period at the rate of double time. It is essential that you keep track of all of the shift changes are given to you. You must then ensure that the Resource Allocators have imported these changes into the system to enable you to be paid correctly. The centralisation of the payroll system to People Connect has made a dramatic difference in the inaccuracies in your payroll. It is your responsibility to make immediate contact with the payroll department if your pay is incorrect. Qantas is responsible for ensuring that you are given the correct notices for these changes to your shifts but because of the downsizing of the payroll department, you will have to keep an eye on your Award entitlements. There are many changes being made to your rosters currently, all of these changes have Award provisions, which determine how you should be notified and paid. If this is not the case you should advise your ASU Delegate. Your ASU Delegates for both the International and Domestic Terminals are: ROS BEETSON, KATRINA BERRY, CAROLYN BIRD, UMESH CHAND, COLLEEN FINN, ERIC FURST, TERRY HEINEMANN, IAN HOPE, STEVE HYATT, AARON KEEVERS, SIMONE PETELSKI, TED PETELSKI, JACOB SKOWRONEK, JENNY SLEBA, JOHN YOON.
