Negotiations will commence on 12 April and will continue each Tuesday until 28 June when a final draft will be developed.   It is proposed that the first meeting will:-

  • establish the framework for the bargaining principles;
  • confirm the composition of the Enterprise Bargaining Team; and
  • set out the communication processes for members and staff.

As we are meeting weekly, BCC have proposed that a draft Agreement would be ready to certify by the end of July 2005.

The ASU joint survey is due to be returned by15 April 2005.  Both ASU branches will collate the survey findings together and develop our joint Log of Claims.  The Queensland Council of Unions will then be in a position to prepare the combined unions Log of Claims for presentation to BCC.
